| Remembering Richard Harris |
Richard Harris, who was born in Limerick, Ireland on October 1, 1930, would have been 78 years old today. Richard Harris was Albus Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter movies, but was previously most famous for A Man Called Horse and King Arthur in Camelot. He only agreed to be Dumbledore after his then 11-year-old granddaughter threatened never to speak to him again if he didn't.

It's really nice to see that Dan Radcliffe actually can act. At one point I leaned over and whispered to my friend, "Why can't he do that in Harry Potter?" Doctor Who star David Tennant reportedly refused to work with J.K. Rowling in a Christmas special. Show creator Russel T. Davies has revealed in The Times that he planned to write the Harry Potter author into this year's Christmas Day episode, as a follow up to Kylie Minogue's cameo last year, but David didn't like the idea, forcing it to be scrapped.
